I have come to realise there are many neighbourhoods in London where I would happily reside. As many people are under the impression ‘west is best’, I'm slowly coming to see that there are so many other wonderful places within the city to live. I will be honest, my heart sank a little when mine and Oliver’s jobs settled us on the East side but after a whole lot of searching we have found some lovely locations on the suburbs to settle in - more about this once we have moved, I'm hoping to do a blog post on it.

Although we won’t be living in Primrose Hill, it makes for a good weekend day stop; plus parking is free all weekend! With its picture perfect town houses painted in eye popping colours, quaint high street and village like atmosphere it feels a world apart from the London hustle and bustle.

It’s a lot like Notting Hill, only without the tourist crowds. Despite its rather small size there’s lots to see and do. We parked up in Chalcot Square, where Sylvia Plath once lived, hopped straight out the car and happily started choosing which one we wanted to live in; peering in all the windows while trying not to look like nosey parkers.

After we had both settled on a pale blue house on the corner, we made our way up to Regent’s Park Road, this sweet little high street is filled with lovely eateries, boutiques and florists with flowers overflowing onto the street. I couldn't walk past without picking up a few!

We somehow ended up skipping lunch this day, I think we were both too excited about our next stop, Primrose Bakery and totally forget about something savoury (we ended up having one of those late lunch nearly dinner days). Theres a few Primrose Bakeries around London, all with retro style interiors and selling rainbow cupcakes and sweet treats. I indulged in a lemon cupcake and we picked up a few to take home for our Sunday snooze.
