If you've followed my blog from the beginning you'll know that mine and Ollie’s family are based back in the South West and we often go back to visit of a weekend. If we were still based back there ourselves there’s no doubt about it, we would live in Bath. It comes a close second to London in my top favourite cities in the UK and I am sure at some point in my life I’ll live there.

But for now I’ll be lapping up all its beauty over the weekends. Unfortunately this weekend was a little overcast and gloomy and the photos do not give this location justice. The Crescent is one of the most sort after postcodes in the area. A neat row of curved 18th-century Georgian town houses. Most of them are private residences, apart from Number 1 Royal Crescent which has been turned into a Museum and another two which have been converted into The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa.

This grand Georgian architecture and honey coloured Bath stone is all over the city, but by far the most opulent is at The Royal Crescent. We arrived early as we were going out to brunch with family that day and the weather was forecast to be the best in the morning. When I turned the corner and saw the wisteria growing over the front fence of one of the properties I couldn't help but feel a little bit of that wisteria madness that comes around each year.

Nothing beats a navy and white stripped Breton top and I love how soft and easy to wear this one is. I wore the same top in a different colour in this post and I'm planning on expanding my colour range even further, I think the next one will be this red and camel one.

There’s a reason why these crepe jersey wide leg trousers made it into Harper's Bazaar: “10 things we love!”, I love them too! I tend to find myself pulling on the same old jeans some days and these have given me the best alternative. The subtle textured crepe fabric is wonderfully flattering and comfortable, so comfortable I could actually sleep in these trousers.

Living in London I have got very used to having a coat or jacket with me nearly all year around. I finished off this outfit with a simple navy jacket. While I wear it all the time with everyday outfits such as jeans and a tee its also works just as well dressing up for work. However, if I had known the weather was going to be slightly damp I would have opted for my navy trench instead.

It’s incredibly refreshing to have more outfits with trousers other than jeans in my everyday wardrobe. I’m so looking forward to styling them with a little blouse and wicker bag as the days get warmer.
