Yep, you've guessed it, yet another sunrise! I just can’t seem to get enough of those early morning pink skies! Promise I will stop at least for the next few post so you don't get utterly bored, as I'm totally flattered that more and more of you are stopping by to read along and I’d like to keep you around.

So on the third day in Paris I ended up having a bit of a bizarre day. As Ollie and I were up so early, I rushed out the door a little flustered and hopped on the metro to Basilica only to find I had either left my phone back at the apartment or someone had nabbed it on the way. Unfortunately, it was the latter of the two and my poor old phone was off to another home.

I was actually blissfully unaware that it had been taken for the whole day we were out. Although I have my phone on me all of the time I can easily go hours, sometimes even days without even looking at it. Don't get me wrong I love technology and being on social media but I'm always the last to hear the latest news.

As Montmatre is a top tourist destination it is known for its pick pockets, regardless it’s one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Paris. The quaint independent shops and cafés, cobblestone streets filled with beautiful painted townhouses and that view over Paris. I would recommend the walk up to Sacré-Cœur, as you get to see so much more of the surrounding. Even though I've been a few times, I still enjoy taking the stairs as opposed to the tram.

One thing I love to embrace on a city trip is my staple comfy basics. A simple tee or jumper, paired with some perfectly fitting jeans, a practical coat and my trusty trainers. Sometimes those frilly fancy sparkly items, no matter how beautiful won’t get you through a day pounding the streets of a new city! I like to keep a feminine element and so added this bell sleeved jumper layered with this smart white jackets and paired it down with my favourite straight legged jeans.

Of course, like many european cities the weather can be a real game changer. This day started with pure sunshine and by 11am it had clouded over and started to snow! I couldn't believe it. If you look closely you may notice I was also wearing this ultra light weight down vest which I had chucked in my bag just incase the weather turned. Leaving my ankles bare wasn't the best idea I have ever had at this point.

I don't know about you but when I get to February the sunny holiday day dreaming starts. I'm off to Lisbon next week for my Birthday and have my fingers crossed for some sunshine!
